About

FarmHelp is the result of Holliston High School senior, Akshara Shankar's innovative web platform that connected food pantries with donors (www.manyhandsfoodpantry.com). The idea was expanded further during her internship with Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Metrowest who encouraged her to connect farms and food pantries in need.

JFS of Metrowest is a non-profit dedicated to standing up for those left behind and provides services to over 5,000 people in need within the Metrowest and Greater Boston regions each year.

FarmHelp is an empowering farm to pantry platform for farmers across Massachusetts to come together to serve the community. The mission of FarmersHelp is to connect food producers with food banks/pantries/soup kitchens that can then ensure that it reaches those in need.
